Have you tried out JavaFX?
i haven't actually.
@orbitron408 It's far easier to get started with than Swing. If you use the JavaFX Scene Builder then you can pretty much drag and drop UI elements to create your application's view / appearance very quickly.
The only downside I would say it has is that it doesn't look "native", but that's becoming less important recently as more applications have their own window styling (e.g. discord, vs code, teams, etc.)
i'm gonna check it out. that actually sounds pretty useful!
